Mobile Team Lead (iOS & Android)

About the role

As the Mobile Team Lead at itsme, you will own the safety, quality and reliability of the itsme® app used daily by almost 8 million Belgian citizens. The role blends people leadership with hands‑on engineering, giving you the freedom to shape the team’s way of working while actively contributing to the codebase.

Key responsibilities

• Directly lead, coach and support a team of 4 iOS and Android developers.
• Own the full performance cycle: 1‑on‑1s, career development, objective setting, promotions and HR processes (JML, holidays, conflict resolution).
• Design, build and maintain new features for the itsme iOS application, ensuring high code quality, performance and security.
• Drive architectural refinement, expand automated testing and champion top‑tier agile engineering practices.
• Manage release processes and CI/CD pipelines for both iOS and Android platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading mobile development teams (iOS and Android).
• Strong hands‑on background in mobile engineering with a focus on security and quality.
• Ability to balance people management with active contribution to the codebase.
• Experience working in a fast‑growing, high‑impact digital‑identity environment.
