MLOps Engineer

About the role

Faktion is building a dedicated MLOps team to help enterprise clients move AI models from test to production at scale. As an MLOps Engineer you will design, implement and operate the infrastructure that powers large‑scale machine‑learning solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build cloud‑based machine‑learning pipelines and infrastructure to support production workloads.
• Transform offline models created by data scientists into reliable, scalable production systems.
• Develop and deploy tools and services for training and inference, including APIs and serverless functions.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve performance, maintainability and reliability.
• Apply software‑engineering best practices such as CI/CD, automation, security, versioning and auditability.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Dutch optional, French a plus).
• Strong software‑engineering background with experience in multi‑language, complex systems.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Message brokers (MS Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Cloud platforms (Azure) and serverless functions (Azure Functions).
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep).
• Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• API development and database systems.
