Mid-Level AI Systems Engineer

About the role

Craftzing and Sagacify are seeking a mid‑level AI Systems Engineer to design, build, deploy and operate production‑grade LLM‑powered agents and RAG pipelines. The role blends AI engineering (60‑70%) with MLOps responsibilities (30‑40%) and reports to the Head of ML.

Key responsibilities

• Orchestrate AI components such as LLMs, vector databases, APIs, orchestration layers and user interfaces.
• Develop autonomous agents and conversational systems that interact with external tools or APIs.
• Build and optimise RAG pipelines that connect enterprise data sources to LLMs for reliable, contextual answers.
• Deploy, scale and monitor solutions with focus on latency, security, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and versioning for safe model rollouts.
• Continuously monitor production performance, detect drift and manage updates of models and dependencies.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering or related fields.
• Strong understanding of LLM fundamentals, transformers and fine‑tuning.
• Excellent problem‑solving, algorithmic creativity and clear communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Team‑oriented, autonomous, curious and able to handle incidents responsibly.
• Fluent in English and Dutch (French a plus).
