Microsoft Business Intelligence Expert - MS Fabric

About the role

Devoteam, a digital transformation consulting firm with long-standing partnerships with AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft and ServiceNow, is looking for an experienced Microsoft Business Intelligence expert with specialized knowledge of Microsoft Fabric. The role designs, develops and deploys BI solutions that turn raw data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models in Microsoft Fabric using OneLake, Data Factory and Data Engineering.
• Develop and optimize data warehousing solutions with Data Warehouse in Fabric.
• Create reports, dashboards and visualizations in Power BI integrated with Fabric datasets.
• Implement data governance, security and compliance, possibly with Microsoft Purview.
• Work with business stakeholders to turn their requirements into technical BI solutions.
• Use Data Science, Real-Time Analytics and Data Activator to deliver advanced analytics and trigger actions.
• Work with Lakehouse architecture and ensure data quality and integrity.
• Share technical expertise, troubleshoot issues and stay up to date with Fabric, Azure data services and AI assistant tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a BI Developer, Data Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies.
• Fluent English and either French or Dutch, or both.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and collaboration, and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• In-depth hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric: OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, Synapse Data Warehouse.
• Power BI (data modeling, DAX, reports and dashboards).
• Strong SQL and query optimization; Python or Scala for data manipulation is highly desirable.
• Data governance, data modeling (dimensional modeling, star schemas) and familiarity with Azure data services and Purview.
• Preferred: Microsoft Fabric, Power BI or Azure certifications; Real-Time Analytics and Data Activator; Git; Agile experience.
