Methods Engineer Junior

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Methods Engineer to design, implement and validate manufacturing and control processes for our production facilities. You will work closely with engineering, production and quality teams to ensure smooth start‑up of new products and continuous improvement of existing lines.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse production lines and define procedures that meet current best practices and standards.
• Formalise processes and create detailed manufacturing files and work instructions for assembly operations.
• Support pre‑series production and the industrialisation of new products both internally and at supplier sites.
• Identify efficiency, quality and safety improvement opportunities in existing processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and quality control to ensure clear communication and coordination.
• Participate in the selection of production and assembly equipment, verifying technical compatibility.
• Train, supervise and accredit operators on methods and good practices, managing renewal of certifications.
• Oversee implementation of new methods, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct production start‑up audits to assess process compliance.
• Write purchasing specifications for suppliers and provide technical support during qualification.

Required profile

• Engineering or production degree, preferably with experience in mechanical manufacturing or electronics testing.
• Knowledge of SMED, PDCA, 5S and LEAN methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Fluent in French and good reading/understanding of English.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Comfortable working on the shop floor alongside operators.
