Medior Back-End Developer – FinTech SaaS Platform

About the role

Join Nymus, a fast‑growing Belgian FinTech, as a Medior Back‑End Developer. You will work on the Nymus X Platform, a SaaS solution that helps businesses optimise working‑capital management. The role is based in our Sint‑Martens‑Latem office and offers the chance to influence a cutting‑edge product in a collaborative DevOps team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and maintain features of the Nymus X Platform.
• Write and enhance back‑end code in Java and Scala.
• Collaborate with developers, support specialists and other departments.
• Define technology roadmap and evolve the tech stack.
• Build backend applications and API integrations.
• Improve operational efficiency through monitoring, reporting and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with an open‑source object‑oriented programming language.
• Strong understanding of functional programming principles.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Problem‑solving mindset, ownership attitude and ability to work under deadlines.
