Medior Architect – Secure Data Sharing (Brussels)

About the role

We are looking for a Medior Architect to join a European public‑sector initiative that builds large‑scale, cross‑domain digital ecosystems. You will shape secure, policy‑driven data sharing across multiple distributed platforms and help drive innovation in digital infrastructure and data‑driven services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and define architecture patterns that enable secure, interoperable data exchange.
• Translate business, governance and technical requirements into scalable solution architectures.
• Define and implement identity, access‑management and trust frameworks for cross‑organisation collaboration.
• Establish data‑sharing, contracting and policy‑enforcement mechanisms to ensure compliant, auditable exchanges.
• Develop standards for publication, discovery and interoperability of shared data and services.
• Define monitoring, observability and reliability practices to ensure operational readiness.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in solution or integration architecture within distributed or platform‑based environments.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access‑management principles, including authentication, authorisation and federation.
• Solid understanding of cloud‑native architectures, containerisation and modern deployment practices.
• Experience with API design, integration patterns and event‑driven architectures.
• Familiarity with data‑sharing platforms, governance models and policy‑enforcement concepts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
