Medical Science Liaison – Rheumatology

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specialized in Rheumatology to strengthen scientific engagement across Belgium. In this field‑based position you will act as a trusted scientific partner for healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders and other stakeholders within the rheumatology community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain credible relationships with external experts and thought leaders in rheumatology.
• Support the initiation, oversight and follow‑up of post‑marketing clinical activities, including registries, epidemiological surveys and phase IV studies.
• Provide scientific information on AbbVie medicines and therapeutic areas through presentations, digital channels and one‑on‑one meetings.
• Assist physicians with early‑access program requests in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal medical, clinical and commercial teams to ensure scientific accuracy of publications and promotional materials.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in medical affairs, clinical research or a related scientific field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with senior healthcare professionals.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned geographic area.
