Medical Affairs Consultant – Waterloo, Belgium

About the role

Alsinova is seeking experienced Medical Affairs Consultants to support a range of pharmaceutical and biotech clients in Belgium. You will work closely with regulatory, commercial and scientific teams to ensure the delivery of high‑quality medical information and strategic support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scientific expertise across therapeutic areas relevant to client projects.
• Interpret and apply local pharmaceutical regulations in collaboration with Regulatory Affairs.
• Represent the company at national and international congresses and scientific meetings.
• Support the creation and execution of local Medical Affairs strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Provide accurate scientific information to healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
• Design and deliver training programs for commercial and cross‑functional teams.
• Manage medical information enquiries, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify and engage Key Opinion Leaders and professional societies.
• Assist clinical operations with study feasibility, implementation and ongoing trial management.
• Oversee publication planning, execution and archiving in line with SOPs.

Required profile

• Relevant scientific degree (MD, PhD or PharmD).
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sector.
• Strong knowledge of local pharmaceutical regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with scientific and medical communities.
