Mechanical Engineer – Product Development (Ammunition & Launchers)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our project and product teams focused on ammunition and launcher systems. You will be responsible for specifying, designing, developing, validating, and qualifying mechanical parts throughout the full product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle product development from concept to manufacturing, including design, prototype testing, and implementation.
• Plan, conceptualize, and create detailed mechanical designs and technical drawings.
• Develop testing procedures, conduct verification tests, and generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstrations.
• Perform engineering calculations to support design decisions and evaluate final product performance, reliability, and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, subcontractors, and production/quality departments.
• Document project progress, maintain design records, and ensure timelines and budgets are met.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience, preferably in defense, ammunition, or launcher projects.
• Strong mathematical abilities and experience with engineering calculations.
• Self‑motivated team player with excellent communication skills in French and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD tools (e.g., ProE or similar).
• Experience using Matlab and Excel for analysis and computation.
• Knowledge of plastic stamping/processing techniques.
• Familiarity with pyrotechnics or mechanical work in the defence sector is a plus.
