Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Thales is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join its Tubize site in Belgium. You will work with a multidisciplinary team on RF products, C4ISR, cryptographic solutions and aeronautical intercom systems, contributing to the full hardware development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a range of mechanical engineering activities, including advanced studies, simulations, mock‑ups, models and prototypes.
• Define mechanical functions, requirements and development plans, and prepare data packages for production.
• Collaborate with production and procurement to deliver cost‑effective, manufacturable designs.
• Monitor, plan and organise mechanical tasks, reporting technical progress.
• Propose and justify technical and methodological choices in line with the approved mechanical architecture.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Significant experience in hardware development with a focus on mechanical engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset, rigorous and customer‑oriented.
• Team player comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment.
