Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join SII Group Belgium. You will work on projects in the Aeronautic, Space and Defense sectors, contributing to the design and development of future products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and detail concepts using hand calculations and/or FEM.
• Design, develop and improve existing systems such as brake, steering, hydraulics, pneumatics and suspension.
• Propose and generate design substantiation through analyses and complex test setups.
• Report compliance demonstrations in English.
• Maintain contact with suppliers.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive or Aviation/Aerospace design or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical parts and computer‑aided design.
• Experience with CAD, FMEA, strength calculations and FEM.
• Experience in compliance demonstration and/or certification is preferred.
• Communication skills in French and English are a plus.
