Mechanical Design Engineer (Creo) – Freelance

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong Creo expertise to join a long‑term engineering programme for a client in Sint‑Truiden. The role is freelance, initially until year‑end with possible annual extensions, and combines on‑site and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D models and detailed technical drawings using Creo.
• Work on components ranging from simple parts to complex housings.
• Manage product data lifecycle in Windchill (check‑in/check‑out processes).
• Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs and ensure manufacturability.
• Support ongoing product improvements and keep documentation up to date.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Creo for 3D modelling and drawing creation.
• Proven ability to design mechanical components from concept to detail.
• Hands‑on experience using Windchill for data management.
• Understanding of engineering drawing standards and best practices.
• Fluent English communication skills.
