Maintenance Technician

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician at Newell Brands, you will ensure the continuity and reliability of production processes in our Sint‑Niklaas facility. You will protect machinery performance, support safe operations, and contribute to a proactive maintenance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule to avoid breakdowns.
• Diagnose and perform corrective repairs on equipment and utilities using schematics and technical manuals.
• Carry out machine set‑ups, tool changes, and test runs to meet quality standards.
• Maintain site utilities such as compressed air, HVAC, lighting, and safety systems.
• Accurately log all maintenance activities and update technical documentation.
• Assist external technicians during installations or major repairs and keep the workspace orderly.

Required profile

• Graduate or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electro‑Mechanical or Automation engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven hands‑on experience in a maintenance or technical role.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communicator with a hands‑on mindset.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• PLC programming knowledge (Omron, Siemens, Beckhoff).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
