Maintenance Technical Support Engineer

About the role

Alstom is looking for a Maintenance Technical Support Engineer to provide engineering expertise for services tenders and projects. The role supports the Services Platform by supplying technical resources, optimising maintenance plans and driving cost‑reduction initiatives across railway products.

Key responsibilities

• Supply engineering skills to support tenders and project execution.
• Collaborate with Services Engineering and Platforms to enhance the services portfolio.
• Provide technical support throughout project lifecycles and optimise maintenance scopes.
• Identify and implement product modifications to improve reliability and serviceability.
• Propose innovative solutions, R&D programmes and new technologies for maintenance projects.
• Analyse system performance and maintenance efficiency, driving action plans for improvement.
• Promote latest maintenance techniques such as Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Lean.
• Participate in failure‑criticality studies, REX processes and integrate operational feedback.

Required profile

• University degree in Railway Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in engineering support for railway or transportation projects.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams, suppliers and customers.
