Maintenance Engineer (12-month VIE)

About the role

Vulcain Engineering Belgium is seeking a motivated Maintenance Engineer for a 12‑month VIE assignment. You will support the reliability and performance of plant equipment in the energy and industrial sectors, working on mechanical, electrical and control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and conduct root‑cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards such as GMP, ISO and OSHA.
• Support installation, commissioning and continuous improvement of plant equipment and processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in electrical, electromechanical or industrial engineering.
• At least one relevant internship in maintenance or engineering support.
• Basic knowledge of GMP, process control or industrial safety is desirable.
• Fluent in French or English.
• Eligibility for the Business France VIE programme.

Required skills

• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis abilities.
