Logistics Manager

About the role

The Logistics Manager will lead all warehouse and logistics operations at AbbVie’s manufacturing site in Liège. Reporting to the Plant General Manager, the role ensures uninterrupted product supply while supporting operational performance and growth objectives. The manager is responsible for the receipt, storage, inventory, preparation, shipment and distribution of pharmaceutical products in compliance with quality, GMP, EHS and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead inbound and outbound warehouse activities, guaranteeing safe, compliant and efficient execution.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, product traceability, cycle‑counting effectiveness and robust stock‑control processes.
• Coordinate receipts, shipments and internal material movements to meet production schedules and customer demand.
• Manage transportation providers and third‑party logistics partners, monitor service levels and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure accurate SAP/ERP transactions and data integrity between physical and system flows.
• Define and optimise inventory strategies to support continuity and service levels.
• Develop and maintain logistics procedures in line with GMP, Quality and EHS requirements.
• Represent the logistics function during regulatory, customer and corporate audits.
• Identify and escalate operational risks affecting production or product availability.
• Control departmental budget and lead cost‑optimisation and Lean projects.

Required profile

• Leadership experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, Quality and EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to drive supply‑chain performance.
• Experience managing budgets and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
