Lifting Manager

About the role

As a Lifting Manager at Linesight you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing all lifting activities on a complex data-centre project. Working closely with the Construction Manager and subcontractors, you will ensure safe, efficient and compliant lifts from design through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all on-site lifting operations, ensuring compliance with contract documents and safety standards.
• Develop detailed lifting plans, crane studies, rigging strategies and installation methodologies aligned with the project schedule.
• Coordinate lifting logistics across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing trades.
• Integrate lifting activities with the contractor’s Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team for seamless field sequencing.
• Conduct and document lifting meetings, risk assessments and method statements.
• Manage Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) lifts, ensuring safe delivery and positioning of client-provided assets.
• Monitor subcontractor adherence to approved plans and local regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years experience as a Lifting Manager, Supervisor or Director on large-scale construction projects.
• Proven delivery of complex lifts on at least five ground-up data-centre or similar high-tech facilities.
• Experience working with hyperscale data-centre clients is highly desirable.
• Degree in engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Strong ability to build productive relationships with clients, vendors and subcontractors.
