Learning Support Teacher (Nursery/Primary) – Part‑time

About the role

The European School Brussels I is seeking a Learning Support Teacher to provide general, moderate or intensive support to nursery and/or primary pupils. The role is part‑time and will be tailored to the needs of the school community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver targeted support to pupils with special educational needs inside or outside the classroom.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers to adapt daily routines and learning activities.
• Work with the support coordinator, school psychologist and other support teachers to monitor progress.
• Contribute to the inclusive teaching programme of the school.

Required profile

• Command of English equivalent to an educated native speaker.
• Relevant teaching support diploma validated by the Ministry of Education.
• Minimum two years of experience supporting pupils with special educational needs.
• Good knowledge of at least one additional European School language (French or German).
• Ability to work in a multicultural, multilingual environment.

Required skills

• Strong pedagogical and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with the European Schools system.
