Lead Buyer – Indirect Procurement

About the role

Envalior is looking for a Lead Buyer to develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect materials and services at its Antwerp site. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to drive cost savings, strengthen supplier relationships, and support the site’s overall procurement objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement procurement strategies for site‑specific indirect spend categories.
• Lead cross‑functional sourcing teams to identify opportunities and deliver sustainable value.
• Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, HR, and Site Leadership.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and drive improvements.
• Act as Contract Manager for assigned categories, ensuring compliance and corrective actions when needed.
• Identify opportunities to reduce Total Cost of Ownership and generate cost savings.
• Assess and mitigate procurement‑related business risks, including supplier dependency and market changes.
• Collaborate with the global Indirect Procurement team to align local and global objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in indirect procurement within an industrial or international environment.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
• Proven experience leading cross‑functional projects and working with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
