Junior Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our satellite communications department in Berchem. You will work on cutting‑edge space products, from high‑speed data receivers to RF digitizers, contributing to the software that enables satellite missions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Linux device drivers, CCSDS protocol stacks and monitoring & control agents for satellite communication equipment.
• Implement Web‑GUI applications using modern front‑end frameworks.
• Participate in software architectural design and code reviews.
• Document technical specifications and interface definitions.
• Occasionally present technical results at conferences or internal meetings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in software engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Good understanding of Linux systems programming (POSIX threads, synchronization, shared memory, IPC, process scheduling).
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Motivated team player with a sense of ownership.
