Junior Site Engineer – Offshore Construction

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Site Engineer to support offshore construction activities at our Vlissingen and Schiedam sites. Working under the Construction Lead, you will ensure safety and quality while coordinating closely with engineering, EPC contractors and Elia O&M teams.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee safety and quality priorities on‑site together with the Construction Lead.
• Act as the single point of contact for electromechanical engineering queries.
• Support the Construction Manager in managing the site team and EPC contractor interactions.
• Own technical issues during outfitting, escalating major problems as needed.
• Lead quality processes, follow up non‑conformities and maintain inspection documentation.
• Coordinate and participate in on‑site inspections and vendor visits.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the offshore sector.
• Background in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Possession of a VCA VOL/SCC supervisor certificate.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Strong safety and quality mindset with the ability to learn quickly.

Required skills

• Electromechanical engineering knowledge.
• Topside outfitting experience (preferred).
• Quality control/assurance on construction sites.
• Proficient use of MS Office for reporting.
• Familiarity with Aconex document management (plus).
