Junior Manager – Financial Services Tax (AEOI/QI/FASTER)

About the role

BDO is looking for a Junior Manager to join its Tax Financial Services team. You will support financial institutions in Belgium with complex tax obligations such as AEOI, QI, FASTER and other operational taxes. The role combines tax expertise, client interaction and collaboration with IT and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end tax regulatory engagements, acting as the primary client contact.
• Assess product and process impacts, design implementation strategies and enhance compliance programmes.
• Prepare, review and correct information returns, withholding tax filings and manage authority feedback.
• Coach junior consultants, monitor legislative developments and contribute to client alerts and sales campaigns.
• Draft and review fiscal advisory opinions for new financial products and services.
• Monitor case‑law developments, review corporate income and net‑asset tax returns for BEVEKs/SICAVs, and initiate tax claims or advance rulings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law, Economics, Taxation, Finance or equivalent.
• Approximately 5 + years of experience in taxation or tax regulatory frameworks, preferably within the financial sector.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian tax regulations and experience with AEOI, QI or FASTER regimes.
• Fluent in French and English or Dutch and English, with working knowledge of the other national language.
• Client‑focused, quality‑driven and able to coach junior colleagues.
