Junior Java Full Stack Developer (Hybrid, Brussels)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Java Full Stack Developer to join our team in Brussels on a 12‑month contract. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while contributing to modern web applications that meet EU Institution standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain responsive web applications across front‑end and back‑end layers.
• Implement business logic, RESTful APIs and server‑side components using Java, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Build user interfaces with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue.js.
• Design and optimise relational (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and non‑relational (MongoDB) database solutions.
• Apply secure development practices, including authentication, authorization and logging.
• Perform unit and integration testing, debugging and code validation.
• Deploy and support applications in cloud environments (AWS or Azure) using CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Produce technical documentation and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience as a full‑stack software engineer.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work in multicultural teams.
