Junior Industrial Automation Engineer

About the role

Join Baxter’s Lessines site as a Junior Industrial Automation Engineer and support 24/7 manufacturing operations. You will develop technical expertise while ensuring the reliability and performance of automated production systems that deliver life‑saving medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Support diagnostics, troubleshooting and maintenance of PLC, HMI, SCADA systems and industrial networks.
• Assist in corrective and preventive maintenance activities for automated equipment.
• Participate in equipment commissioning, functional testing and acceptance testing.
• Collect operational data, perform basic analyses and contribute to downtime‑reduction and OEE improvement projects.
• Prepare validation documentation (IQ/OQ) in line with GxP requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers, engineering, quality and production teams and take part in on‑duty call rotation after onboarding.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Automation, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 0–5 years of experience in automation, industrial maintenance or engineering.
• Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments (pharma, biotech, utilities) is a plus.
