Junior Field Engineer – Laboratory Equipment

About the role

As a Junior Field Engineer you will join Amaris Consulting’s technical service team, providing on‑site installation, maintenance and repair of high‑tech laboratory analysers for customers in the Wavre and Namur regions. You will work closely with senior engineers and the central planning team to ensure equipment operates according to manufacturer specifications and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, calibrate and commission laboratory analysers and related systems at customer sites.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to keep equipment running efficiently.
• Verify that all work complies with manufacturer specifications and internal service procedures.
• Document maintenance activities accurately and submit reports on time.
• Coordinate spare‑part logistics with the Central Planning team.
• Travel regularly to customer locations in the Wavre and Namur areas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biomedical, electrical, mechanical, industrial software engineering or a related technical medical laboratory field.
• First experience in field service is a plus; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Fluent in English and French; beginner‑level Dutch is acceptable.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a service‑oriented attitude.
