Junior Catering Assistant

About the role

The Junior Catering Assistant supports daily food and beverage operations, ensuring breakfast and meeting‑room buffets are set up, serviced and cleared efficiently. You will work closely with the Catering & Food team to deliver a smooth, guest‑focused service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and clear breakfast and meeting‑room buffets.
• Replenish food items and monitor stock levels.
• Prepare simple food items and ensure all dishes and equipment are clean and ready for use.
• Follow food‑safety, hygiene and safety procedures at all times.
• Interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner and assist with special requests.
• Check deliveries, report shortages and support basic stock‑control tasks.

Required profile

• Basic experience or strong interest in food & beverage service, catering or hospitality.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and safe handling of kitchen equipment.
• Good communication skills and a guest‑focused, team‑oriented mindset.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry items.
• Organisational attention to detail and reliability in following procedures.
• Flexibility to work early mornings or evenings, Monday‑Friday, with occasional weekend events.
• Basic English; French or other languages are a plus.
