Junior Business Developer – PV & BESS Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Business Developer to support the development and delivery of photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects for a fast‑growing renewable‑energy developer in Belgium. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from lead qualification to hand‑over to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and originate new PV and BESS opportunities, prepare tailored offers and support contract negotiations.
• Structure and negotiate key agreements such as PPAs, EPC contracts, O&M agreements and land‑lease arrangements.
• Define technical scope (design, capacity, technology) and coordinate preparation of technical solutions.
• Build business plans, model CAPEX/OPEX and revenue assumptions, and present investment cases.
• Lead permitting processes, liaise with authorities and grid operators to secure approvals.
• Manage project planning, milestones, risks and reporting throughout development.
• Coordinate internal teams (sales, engineering, management) and external stakeholders (contractors, advisors, investors).
• Prepare hand‑over documentation for construction and support execution monitoring with EPC contractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Law or related field.
• 2‑3 years experience in renewable‑energy project development (PV/BESS, B2B) in Belgium.
• Strong knowledge of contractual frameworks (PPA, EPC, O&M, land agreements) and energy markets.
• Understanding of permitting, grid‑connection procedures and stakeholder management in Belgium.
• Fluent in French or Dutch.
