Junior Auditor – Audit Team

About the role

KPMG is looking for a motivated Junior Auditor to join its dynamic Audit team in Antwerp. You will work on a variety of client engagements across sectors such as automotive, public services, life sciences, telecom, transport, logistics, and financial services. The role offers exposure to both domestic and international projects, including regulatory audits for banks and insurance companies.

Key responsibilities

• Verify financial data, including cash balances, trade receivables and fixed‑asset valuations.
• Participate in client stock counts and assess inventory procedures.
• Prepare audit documentation in line with Belgian and International Standards (e.g., ISA).
• Assist in prudential audits and support sustainability reporting under frameworks such as CSRD, EU Taxonomy and GRI.
• Collaborate with senior auditors on corporate reporting and sustainability assurance projects.
• Visit client sites and serve as a primary point of contact throughout the audit cycle.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics, Commercial Engineering, Commercial Sciences or a related field.
• Strong interest in accounting, finance or sustainability.
• Proactive attitude, ability to work in a team and deliver high‑quality service.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to receive and give feedback.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRI).
