Junior Associate – Legal Trainee (Multiple Practice Areas)

About the role

Loyens & Loeff is seeking motivated Junior Associates to join its legal teams in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg or Switzerland starting September 2027. The role offers exposure to a range of practice areas, including Corporate M&A, Tax, Dispute Resolution, Employment and Energy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior lawyers on client matters across the selected expertise group.
• Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, contracts and pleadings.
• Support the preparation of client presentations and transactional documents.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other departments and international offices.
• Participate in client meetings under supervision.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Belgian law (or equivalent) with an excellent academic record, expected or obtained in the 2026‑2027 academic year.
• Fluent in Dutch or French, strong English proficiency, and a good passive knowledge of the second Belgian language.
• Demonstrated extracurricular involvement and a proactive, results‑oriented attitude.
• Team player with effective communication skills.
• Ability to perform in‑depth analysis and propose pragmatic solutions.
