Junior Accountant – Start Sep 2026

About the role

As a Junior Accountant at Grant Thornton you will support a wide range of clients, from local SMEs to the Belgian branches of multinational companies. You will work closely with experienced managers, gaining hands‑on experience in accounting, tax and financial reporting while building trusted relationships with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor, answering clients’ accounting questions.
• Prepare VAT and other tax returns under supervision.
• Draw up financial statements and accurately enter accounting documents.
• Work on‑site with clients, fostering strong relationships from day one.
• Collaborate with diverse companies across multiple sectors, often in an international context.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy and taxation or a Master’s in applied economic/commercial sciences with an accounting focus.
• Strong understanding of economics and interest in business operations.
• Flexibility to travel to various offices and client sites.
• Ambitious, inquisitive mindset with a desire to progress quickly.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch, French and English.
• Creative problem‑solving, initiative, responsibility and methodical work style.
