IT Operations and Administration Technician

About the role

We are seeking an IT Operations and Administration Technician to join ATG Europe’s team supporting the European Space Agency’s TEC department in Redu, Belgium. The role involves providing first‑ and second‑level support for a range of ICT services and maintaining the associated hardware and network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st/2nd level support on client ICT incidents and fulfil service requests.
• Prepare, configure and maintain PCs, mobile phones, tablets, mobile offices and desk phones.
• Install, administer and maintain LAN and WAN network and telecommunication infrastructure, including Internet access, wireless networks, VoIP and videoconferencing solutions.
• Perform upgrades and replacements of network and voice/video components, configure switches, cabling and patch panels.
• Prepare and configure USB sticks, security tokens and ensure CMDB maintenance throughout the asset lifecycle.

Required profile

• Certificate in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT support or system administration, preferably in an education, training or laboratory environment.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) and eligibility to work in the EU.

Required skills

• Windows operating system knowledge and remote deployment experience.
• Familiarity with client hardware such as laptops, mobile phones and tablets.
• Network management and automation knowledge.
• Troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, wireless and collaboration environments.
• Experience working in an ITIL environment.
• CMDB maintenance.
