Investment Associate - Private Equity

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Investment Associate to join our Brussels‑based private equity team. Working closely with senior investors, you will be involved in the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing opportunities to supporting portfolio companies and creating value.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed financial models and conduct valuation analyses.
• Analyse industries, competitive positioning and business models.
• Support commercial and strategic due‑diligence processes.
• Prepare investment memoranda, presentations and recommendations for internal decision‑making.
• Assist senior team members in evaluating new investment opportunities and participating in transaction processes.
• Research emerging themes, sectors and potential targets.
• Track portfolio company performance and key operational metrics.
• Collaborate with management teams on strategic initiatives and value‑creation plans.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking (M&A), transaction services or strategy consulting.
• Master’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously in a small team and high attention to detail.
