Investment Analyst

About the role

Join Athora Belgium’s Investment Office as an Investment Analyst, supporting the execution of the firm’s investment strategy and contributing to portfolio oversight, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare investment analyses, recommendations and presentations for senior stakeholders and the Asset & Liability Committee.
• Monitor portfolio performance, exposures, risk metrics and compliance with investment mandates.
• Support portfolio construction, strategic asset‑allocation reviews and scenario analyses.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative due diligence on funds, strategies and external asset managers.
• Track financial markets, economic trends and translate findings into actionable investment insights.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Risk, Finance, Actuarial, Legal, Operations) and maintain relationships with external managers and advisors.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Investment Management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, institutional investing or portfolio management.
• Fluent English; Dutch and/or French considered a plus.
• Strong interest in Asset Liability Management and private‑market investments (Private Credit, Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Assets).
• Willingness to pursue a professional qualification such as CFA, CAIA or VBA.

Required skills

• Bloomberg terminal proficiency.
• Experience using other financial market databases.
