About the role
This unpaid internship supports Greenpeace Belgium’s investigations officer in conducting in‑depth research on the systems driving climate and biodiversity crises. The work contributes to broader campaign strategies and offers hands‑on experience in environmental investigations.
Key responsibilities
- Screen parliamentary and local debates identified by the investigations officer.
- Collect and analyse tweets of individuals and companies using provided tools.
- Analyse annual reports of companies.
- Assist in creating power maps of companies and institutional bodies.
- Produce comprehensive summaries of reports.
Required profile
- Motivated to learn investigative tools and techniques.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases and detailed research.
- Studying journalism, political science, communications or economics.
- Fluent in English and fully fluent in either French or Dutch, with proficiency in the other language.
- Curious, persistent, and able to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.
