International Financial Controller

About the role

The International Financial Controller leads accounting and controlling across all European and Asian plants and legal entities. The role ensures accurate, timely statutory and management reporting, compliance with IFRS or local GAAP, and oversees audit processes while developing the regional finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS or local GAAP.
• Consolidate and review financial reports from subsidiaries, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Manage period‑end close, maintain the integrity of European ledgers, and handle metal, inventory and hedge accounting complexities.
• Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance, liaise with external auditors, and file statutory accounts on time.
• Design, implement and maintain robust internal control frameworks across all entities.
• Lead, mentor and develop the European and Asian accounting and controlling teams, including direct management of Plant Controllers.
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting and controlling for multinational operations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams across different regions.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
