International Business Developer – Energy Infrastructure

About the role

Fluxys is seeking an International Business Developer to drive the group’s growth strategy in the energy infrastructure sector. Based in Brussels, you will identify and develop new sustainable revenue streams by shaping partnerships and infrastructure projects across Europe and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Identify profitable business development opportunities through in‑depth market analysis and convert ideas into mature concepts and value propositions.
• Lead project scoping, governance set‑up and structuring for initiatives ranging from €10 M to €1 B.
• Establish and nurture relationships with partners, customers, authorities and other external stakeholders to create a favourable ecosystem.
• Negotiate commercial, cooperation, joint‑development and shareholding agreements in collaboration with internal experts.
• Manage cross‑functional project teams, monitor progress, control budgets and mitigate risks.
• Prepare business cases, present recommendations to senior management and support decision‑making up to the final investment decision.

Required profile

• Proven experience in international business development, preferably in energy, gas transmission, or related infrastructure.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess technical, commercial, financial and organisational impacts.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive projects from concept to execution.
