Infrastructure System Engineer

About the role

The Infrastructure System Engineer will manage and support core infrastructure services for a global organization. This high‑performing technical contributor ensures stability, security and scalability of critical backend systems, focusing on Windows‑based platforms, virtualization and enterprise services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 3rd‑line support for backend infrastructure, including advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Monitor system health, performance and availability across distributed environments.
• Design, implement and continuously improve infrastructure services.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and deployment processes.
• Maintain standardized patch baselines and FTP environments.
• Collaborate with internal and cross‑functional IT teams and act as a technical escalation point.
• Support cross‑regional initiatives and ensure SOX‑compliant administration and documentation.
• Create and maintain high‑quality technical documentation and propose operational, performance and security enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of experience managing enterprise IT environments.
• Experience in multi‑site, international settings.
• Fluent in Dutch and English with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and take ownership.
