Infrastructure Engineer – Linux, Ansible, VMware

About the role

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and maintain our Linux‑based infrastructure. The role focuses on automation, system hardening and managing virtualized environments while ensuring compliance with ITIL best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux (6.x, 7.x, 8.x) servers and apply patches using Satellite.
• Develop automation scripts and Ansible playbooks for configuration and patch management.
• Perform system hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Administer VMware virtualization, including ESX and vCenter.
• Support hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure‑as‑code initiatives.
• Collaborate on architecture selection, installation, configuration, testing and operational hand‑over.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of ITIL best practices in ICT operations.
• Understanding of human‑resources aspects of operations such as competencies, change management and training.
• Hands‑on experience with ICT management tools and recent practical experience in setting up and running ICT services.
• Proven ability to define, implement and monitor service level agreements.
