ICT Solution Engineer

About the role

The ICT Solution Engineer will support NATO’s International Staff in driving digital transformation and cloud adoption. The incumbent will implement target data and application architectures and evaluate how business‑process changes affect those architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Define data standards, metadata strategies and recommend emerging application‑level technologies.
• Capture and analyse requirements for future data and application architecture changes.
• Participate in business and technology planning sessions to anticipate upcoming changes.
• Contribute expertise to projects, produce documentation and support source‑selection procedures.
• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to create conceptual and logical data models and ensure efficient information flow.

Required profile

• University degree in electronic engineering, information management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a solution engineer, ICT architect or in a comparable role.
• Advanced proficiency in one NATO official language and intermediate in the other.

Required skills

• Application integration and data/application solution implementation.
• Architecture modeling tools/frameworks such as UML, BPMN, TOGAF or ArchiMate.
• Cloud computing architectures and migration of traditional ICT services to the cloud.
• Knowledge of common ICT security protocols.
