Human Resources Coordinator – Europe Programme

About the role

The Human Resources Coordinator for the Europe Programme will support HR and management teams across MSF projects in Belgium, Poland, Serbia and Bosnia‑Herzegovina. Based in Brussels, the role reports to the Europe Country Coordinator and works under the functional supervision of the Cell 4 HR Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regional HR support and guidance to project HR managers in four countries.
• Act as functional supervisor for HR managers, including those who also serve as Finance Managers.
• Assist in shaping and implementing HR strategies aligned with migration health objectives.
• Facilitate change‑management processes as the programme transitions to a shared‑leadership model.
• Coordinate regular exchanges with other MSF migration projects to promote learning and collaboration.
• Monitor and stay informed about labour legislation and HR practices in each operating country.

Required profile

• Experience in HR coordination within an international or humanitarian context.
• Proven ability to manage change and support multi‑country teams.
• Strong understanding of diverse labour laws and willingness to work with local legal advisors.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of additional European languages is a plus.
