HR Head – Manufacturing

About the role

As the HR Head for a large, advanced manufacturing site in Puurs, you will partner with site leadership to shape and execute the people strategy. This senior, highly autonomous position requires you to influence decisions, coach leaders, and deliver HR solutions in a fast‑evolving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the People & Organization agenda, aligning strategic and tactical actions with manufacturing priorities.
• Navigate complex labor relations, union negotiations and work council partnerships.
• Partner with the Site Head and leadership team to drive large‑scale transformation and change initiatives.
• Shape and implement people strategies that support site performance and ongoing transformation.
• Coach People Partner colleagues and collaborate with country and global P&O leaders for consistency.
• Build credibility by understanding manufacturing operations and engaging with site realities.
• Lead HR projects, leveraging innovation and tools (including AI) to drive excellence.
• Act as a proactive problem‑solver, making informed decisions in a fast‑paced, non‑structured environment.

Required profile

• Proven HR leadership experience in a manufacturing, production or plant environment.
• Strong employee and industrial relations expertise, including unions and works councils.
• Track record of leading large‑scale organizational transformation.
• Business acumen to translate manufacturing operations into people strategies.
• Fluency in Dutch/Flemish and English.
• Senior stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence leadership at all levels.
• Experience coaching leaders and building high‑performing, resilient teams.
• Solution‑oriented decision‑making mindset and high independence.
