HR Generalist – Belgium & France (Hybrid)

About the role

The HR Generalist Consultant will support employees and managers across Belgium and the Southern Region, providing expert advice on HR policies, benefits, payroll and compliance. Working in a hybrid setting, you will help drive process excellence and contribute to the development of HR strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to employee queries on HR policies, benefits, payroll and general HR information.
• Lead Works Council meetings and provide clear, timely information.
• Enter, update and maintain employee data in the HRIS with high accuracy.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including paperwork and system updates.
• Assist employees with benefit enrollment and inquiries.
• Maintain compliance documentation and support audit requests.
• Develop and implement initiatives to streamline HR processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee relationships with external HR service providers and monitor service level agreements.
• Leverage HRIS and emerging HR technologies to improve data management and reporting.
• Participate in HR projects and initiatives to enhance overall HR operations.

Required profile

• Education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes and service delivery.
• Customer‑service orientation, attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and adaptability.
• Effective time‑management and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• HRIS (experience with HR information systems).
