About the role

VTU is entering a strong growth phase in the Benelux and is looking for a commercially driven Head of Sales & Business Development to lead the expansion in Life Sciences, Power and Chemical sectors. The role combines business development, deal closing and technical solutioning, reporting directly to the Managing Director and joining the Benelux Management & Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and scale sales and business development activities across the Benelux, focusing on Life Sciences, Power and Chemical markets.
  • Drive market expansion by identifying new sectors, use cases and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline aligned with revenue targets and own end‑to‑end sales cycles from qualification to closing.
  • Develop integrated technical and commercial proposals, define pricing and packaging strategies.
  • Act as a credible counterpart for client executives and technical stakeholders, leading deep‑dive technical discussions.
  • Ensure alignment between sold work and execution capabilities, collaborating closely with engineering teams.

Required profile

  • Proven commercial acumen with a track record of selling complex technical solutions to C‑level and technical audiences.
  • Strong business development experience in regulated environments, preferably within Life Sciences, Power or Chemical industries.
  • Leadership skills to manage and motivate cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to translate market insights into actionable go‑to‑market strategies.

Required skills

  • Experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Capability to develop and present integrated technical and commercial proposals.
  • Knowledge of pricing and packaging strategies in B2B contexts.
