Groups & Events Assistant Trainee

About the role

The Groups & Events Assistant Trainee will join the Groups & Events Department of the Brussels Marriott Hotel Grand Place, supporting the team from inquiry to event completion. This on‑site internship offers hands‑on experience in group reservations, event coordination and hotel administration within an international hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the administration and follow‑up of group and event bookings throughout the planning process.
• Handle emails, phone calls and client requests professionally and promptly.
• Prepare proposals, confirmations, contracts and other event‑related documentation.
• Enter group bookings, rooming lists and event details into the reservation system.
• Coordinate with Banqueting, Front Office, Sales & Marketing and other operational departments to ensure smooth event execution.
• Prepare operational documents and event materials such as door cards, buffet labels, menus and signage.
• Manage allocation of loyalty points for eligible groups and events.
• Provide occasional on‑site support to guests and the operations team during events.

• Fluent English; additional languages are a strong asset.
