Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Group Financial Controller to join the Equine Care Group’s finance team in Lummen, Belgium. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, Consolidation & Financial Reporting, you will ensure accurate and timely group‑wide financial reporting while acting as a bridge between local accounting teams, group finance and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and control quarterly and year‑end consolidation of assigned entities under Belgian GAAP and IFRS, including intercompany eliminations, FX translations, NCI, goodwill and purchase price allocation follow‑up.
• Review and validate accounting entries and reporting packages submitted by local teams to ensure consistency with group policies.
• Coordinate statutory reporting and audit processes across the group.
• Support bank and covenant reporting, board reporting and the implementation of the new group ERP system.
• Collaborate with finance leaders on cross‑border tax structures, multi‑GAAP reporting and M&A related finance topics.

Required profile

• Strong background in finance or accounting, preferably with experience in consolidation and multi‑GAAP environments.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with international teams.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on compliance and process improvement.
