GMP Production Operator (with R&D Support)

About the role

SIMABS is seeking a GMP Production Operator who will work in a cleanroom environment to carry out bioprocess manufacturing activities. The role also supports R&D projects, helping to develop and transfer new processes.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing tasks according to GMP procedures and batch records, covering both upstream and downstream operations.
• Prepare materials, equipment and production areas; perform cleaning, assembly and sterilisation as required.
• Complete GMP documentation accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with SOPs, safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Production, QC, QA and R&D teams, supporting technology transfers and process‑development projects.
• Identify and suggest improvements to workflows, efficiency and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
• Experience in a GMP production or cleanroom environment is a strong asset; recent graduates with the right mindset are also encouraged to apply.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures while maintaining a critical, quality‑focused mindset.
• Strong attention to detail in documentation and record keeping.
