Global Marketing Defence Manager (Europe)

About the role

Octave is looking for a Global Marketing Defence Manager to drive growth and brand awareness for its geospatial, public safety and physical security technologies across Europe. The role will create and execute defence‑focused marketing strategies for government agencies and system integrators, collaborating closely with sales, product and business development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for defence audiences, including market, competitor and trend analysis.
• Produce targeted content and messaging (positioning, case studies) for system integrators and defence agencies.
• Design and manage demand‑generation campaigns across email, digital, paid media and events to generate qualified leads.
• Lead account‑based marketing initiatives, defining personas, communication cadences and customer journeys for named accounts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across regions and languages to ensure correct product positioning and timing.
• Define KPIs, track campaign performance and report results for forecasting and optimisation.

Required profile

• 10+ years of marketing leadership experience in the defence sector, preferably with government agencies or system integrators.
• Proven ability to navigate complex procurement landscapes and develop over‑the‑fence messaging.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in market research and competitive analysis.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
