Functional/Technical Analyst

About the role

Portima is looking for a Functional/Technical Analyst to bridge the gap between client needs and our digital insurance solutions. You will work closely with product owners, developers, and test engineers to ensure that specifications are clear, feasible, and aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and define customer requirements, translating them into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Validate developed applications against validation rules and create test guidelines for test engineers.
• Perform functional analyses to support developers in enhancing existing solutions and creating new ones.
• Verify that developments comply with analyses and contribute to optimal technical‑functional solutions.
• Monitor new developments and corrective maintenance to ensure the product meets user demands.
• Address shortcomings not handled by the contact center, including writing corrective SQL scripts for broker databases.
• Identify obstacles, propose solutions, and continuously promote quality improvements in processes and tools.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Functional or Technical Analyst.
• Fluency in French or Dutch with a good basis in a second language and English.
• Experience in the insurance sector.
• Proven experience with SQL (Structured Query Language).
