Frontend Engineer – Product-focused (Liège, Belgium)

About the role

As a Frontend Engineer at Gaming1 you will design, build and evolve user‑focused product experiences that drive customer value and business outcomes. You will work in a small, autonomous product team within a high‑traffic, regulated environment, collaborating closely with product managers, designers and fellow engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Own solutions from problem definition through implementation, release, monitoring and iterative improvement.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to deliver meaningful outcomes.
• Apply strong craftsmanship with a product‑ and customer‑first mindset.
• Continuously improve codebases, practices, tooling and ways of working.

Required profile

• Experience as a Frontend Engineer in product‑oriented, preferably large‑scale or regulated environments.
• Strong sense of ownership, quality and continuous improvement.
• Comfortable working in small, cross‑functional autonomous teams.
• Product‑ and user‑mindset, able to translate goals into intuitive experiences.

Required skills

• TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• React and component‑based architectures.
• State management and data fetching (e.g., Redux Toolkit, RTK Query).
• Unit and integration testing (Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library).
• UI documentation with Storybook.
